Creative Boost for LIVE GMV Max: Push the Videos You Believe In, But Don't Expect Guaranteed ROI

One video is brighter and larger than other videos in the grid, with gold coins pouring into it
Creative Boost is best suited for videos in "In Queue" or "Not Delivering" status that you believe have real potential.

Creative Boost complements the LIVE GMV Max campaign under the ROI objective by allowing the allocation of additional separate budget to specific videos you want to test or push—operating in parallel with the automatic ROI optimization of the main campaign.

Which videos to boost

Especially suitable for: videos in “In Queue” or “Not Delivering” status, or videos with good organic performance (high gross revenue) but not yet effectively utilized by the system.

Budget allocation principle — specific numerical example

Campaign A has a basic budget of 100 USD, containing 4 videos. If video 1 alone is boosted with 10 USD: video 1 delivers from both the basic budget and the separate boost budget, with the system prioritizing spending the 10 USD boost budget at a utilization rate of over 80%. Videos 2, 3, and 4 only spend from the basic budget. The total campaign spend will not exceed 110 USD.

The minimum boost budget is 10 USD/day, distributed evenly throughout the day, with a maximum of 100 boosted videos per campaign.

How to set up

Go to the LIVE GMV Max campaign list → “View Details” → Creatives tab in the LIVE report. Select videos eligible for boost (Delivering, In Queue, or Not Delivering status when LIVE is OFF) → click “Set Up”. The boost starts immediately or in the next LIVE session—only applicable when the livestream is ON AIR. Select a duration of 0.5-24 hours or use Daily Default.

Note: The system clearly displays a warning—the boost budget is not included in the ROI Protection policy. Currently, you can only view 2 metrics: Budget and Cost; other metrics (Impressions, Gross Revenue, Orders, CTR) are expected to be added later.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Creative Boost affect the ROI Protection of the entire campaign?
It does not affect the main budget portion, but the separate boost budget portion is not covered by ROI Protection.

What is the purpose of boosting a “Delivering” video (which is already performing well)?
It is still possible, but the most obvious benefit is for videos that have not been sufficiently utilized by the system (In Queue/Not Delivering)—where Creative Boost helps test with a small budget that the system would not naturally prioritize.
