3 New Video Control Options for LIVE GMV Max: Manual Selection, Preferred, or Auto-Selection
LIVE GMV Max is beta-testing 3 advanced video control options, giving advertisers more control over creative selection instead of relying entirely on automatic mode.
1. Manual video selection — up to 200 videos
Switch to “Manual” in the Ad creative module, and tick up to 200 videos from the LIVE source. You can search by keyword/post ID and sort by GMV (last 7 days of data) from highest to lowest.
2. Preferred videos — up to 10 videos, keeping auto mode
In “Auto-selection” mode, toggle on “Preferred videos” to select up to 10 videos you want the system to prioritize during the automatic selection process—useful for giving new videos an initial boost before an upcoming live session, without switching completely to manual.
3. Manual upload — direct new videos
Launched in September 2025: directly upload new video content to TTAM for the campaign, up to 50 videos per upload. After the system self-verifies, add a description for each video (or apply 1 description to all). New videos will appear in the “Uploaded Videos” tab, sorted by the newest time—check the status column if any videos are rejected.
Quick comparison of the 3 options
| Option | Limit | Keep auto mode? |
|---|---|---|
| Manual selection | 200 videos | No |
| Preferred videos | 10 videos | Yes |
| Manual upload | 50 videos/time | Not applicable (source addition) |
Frequently Asked Questions
Should I use “Preferred videos” or “Manual selection”?
If you only want to push a few new videos while still trusting the algorithm to select the rest, use Preferred videos. If you want to control the entire list of running videos, use Manual selection.
Do I need to update the preferred video list frequently?
Yes, the documentation recommends continuously updating the preferred video list to match different content across each live session.
