Requirements and Documents Needed to Register for TikTok Shop in 2026

Three Business Types, Three Different Sets of Documents

TikTok Shop Vietnam accepts registration under 3 business types, each requiring its own documents:

Business type	Definition	Required documents
Individual	No official business registration	12-digit chipped citizen ID or Passport
Household business	Small business operated by an individual/household	Household business registration certificate
Company	Registered legal entity, separate from the owner	Enterprise registration certificate

Note: you can change your business type later in Account Settings > Qualification Center, but this triggers a re-review—so determine the correct type from the start instead of registering temporarily and changing it later.

3-Step Registration Process

1. Identity verification — choose business type, set shop name, provide contact information (phone number, email, address), upload personal/business documents. For chipped citizen IDs, the system supports NFC verification (press the citizen ID against the back of an NFC-enabled phone).
2. Shop setup — declare tax information (supports later withdrawals) and warehouse address.
3. Link official TikTok Account — a shop can only link 1 official account and up to 4 marketing accounts.

Risks to Note

• A phone number/email can only be used for one TikTok Shop account. To open a second shop, you must use different contact information—no exceptions.
• Most common reason for rejection: unclear documents, missing information, or mismatches between sections (name, address). Double-check before submitting instead of submitting and then fixing—each rejection wastes re-review time.
• The TikTok account used for the initial registration does not automatically become the Official Account—this is a separate step you must complete later.
