GMV Max video status now has 4 quality labels — are you reading them correctly?

Four colored badges — a gold star, a green checkmark, a red warning, a gray hourglass — attached to videos
The new Exploration status framework completely replaces the old delivery-based view, effective from July 2026.

If you are still reading video status based on the old framework (In queue / Learning / Delivering / Not delivering), you are missing information. From July 2026, GMV Max has transitioned to the “Exploration” framework with much more detailed quality labels.

New status framework

StatusConditionMeaning
ExploringUnder 3 days OR under 1,000 paid impressionsThe system is still learning, patience is required
Explored — OutstandingCost, GMV, CTR in the top tierPerforms extremely well, use as a reference for further development
Explored — PerformingNeither outstanding nor poorNormal, no intervention needed
Explored — UnderperformingCost and GMV = 0 in the last 7 daysNeeds improvement or replacement
Explored — CalculatingQuality evaluation up to 72 hours after explorationResults will be updated soon
IneligibleAuthorization required / Rejected / Unavailable / Excluded / InactiveCannot be delivered

PGM counts as “Explored” after 3 days or reaching over 1,000 impressions; LGM only needs 1 day or over 1,000 impressions. For LIVE GMV Max, the “Not in Live” status has been removed — the most recent status is still displayed and automatically refreshes when the live session resumes.

The real benefit: learning data is inherited across campaigns

The most important point of this update is not the label renaming, but that the system removes campaign-level limitations — the learning data of a creative can be inherited by other campaigns, reducing the number of times it has to relearn from scratch (cold start).

3 new benchmark metrics for PGM

The “Exploration summary” table displays: Available (posts eligible for testing), Explored (total explored posts / available), Outstanding (total outstanding posts / tested) — for example, sample data: Available 182, Explored 112 (61%), Outstanding 3 (3%). These metrics are compared with benchmarks by industry, GMV segment, and region.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I do if the “Explored” rate is low?
Give the creative enough learning space by adjusting the ROI/budget, or use the Creative Boost 2.0 tool for larger-scale testing.

Are “Underperforming” videos automatically removed from the campaign?
Not automatically removed — you need to proactively improve the content or replace it with a new video.
