Product GMV Max automatically stops spending on certain videos if historical data shows they are ineffective, even if you believe the video is good. Creative Boost solves this exact situation — at a cost: ROI is no longer guaranteed for this budget portion.

1. Improve potential performance — request the system to promote videos you believe are good but have not received much spend.
2. Control video-level delivery — promote videos without being bound by ROI, for example, creating pre-hype or promoting for branding goals.

Warning: should only be set up for videos with “pending”, “learning”, or “no delivery” status.

Important Constraints with Max Delivery

You cannot set up Creative Boost for videos linked to products currently in Max Delivery mode — you must switch the product to Target ROI first. Conversely, when a video is already in Creative Boost mode, the linked product cannot be switched to Max Delivery — you must stop Creative Boost first.

How to Set Up

Go to the campaign list → “View Details” for the campaign → “View Creatives” for the specific product → find the video to boost, click “Settings”, and set a daily budget. The entire budget is spent evenly throughout the day. During the alpha phase, only Budget & Cost can be viewed; other metrics (Gross Revenue, Orders, CTR) will be displayed when the feature is officially launched — but you can still view these metrics in the original video-level report, as the system continues to spend the initial budget in parallel.
